Breast screening saves lives
The NHS in England has launched a new phase of the ‘Help Us, Help You’ campaign on 17 February to encourage women living in England to attend their breast screening appointment when invited. Regular breast screening is one of the best ways to spot a cancer that is too small to feel or see yourself – it saves around 1,300 lives each year in the UK.

The NHS 111 campaign encourages people to use the NHS 111 service when they have an urgent but not life-threatening medical need.

Maternal vaccinations (RSV, pertussis and flu)
This campaign, produced jointly by UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and NHS England, provides information on the maternal vaccination programme to support stakeholders to explain and promote the maternal vaccination programme to pregnant women.

Spring Vaccinations
In line with expert advice, this spring the NHS is offering COVID-19 vaccines to people who are at increased risk of serious illness from the virus – including those aged 75 and over (by 30 June 2025), residents of care homes for older adults, and those over the age of 6 months with a weakened immune system.
