• Awareness poster: This poster calls upon staff working in emergency departments, sickle cell disorder ED bypass units, relevant acute ward settings and ambulance services to ACT NOW to improve patient experience and clinical outcomes for adults and children experiencing a sickle cell crisis. Developed collaboratively with clinical experts and patients, the ACT NOW acronym was included in the recent Royal College of Emergency Medicine best practice guidance
• Aide memoire poster: Designed with staff working in emergency departments, sickle cell disorder ED bypass units, relevant acute ward settings and ambulance services in mind. The poster sets out the ACT NOW acronym, developed collaboratively with clinical experts and patients, to improve patient experience and clinical outcomes for adults and children experiencing a sickle cell crisis. The acronym was included in the recent Royal College of Emergency Medicine best practice guidance.
