Our Healthy Year: Year 6 presentation for school nursing teams

A PowerPoint presentation for school nursing teams to use with Year 6 pupils on measuring day, as part of the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP).

School nursing teams may wish to use this PowerPoint presentation with Year 6 pupils on measurement day  as a conversation starter, ensuring that they feel positive about being weighed and measured, and understand what will happen. It’s also an opportunity to deliver messages about eating well and moving more to all pupils, including those who have opted out of the NCMP.

Our Healthy Year is a set of resources to help build healthy behaviours in pupils during the school years in which they are weighed and measured as part of the NCMP. The resources are adaptable and can be used in a variety of ways depending on the approach used in different schools.
