10 Minute Shake Up 2017 lower KS1 toolkit

Get pupils practising and designing their own 10 Minute Shake Ups in class, and excited about staying active both at school and home. These fun and easy-to-use lesson plans are inspired by Disney·Pixar's Cars 3 and Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Moana, Zootropolis, Frozen Fever and The Lodge.

  • 6 × 10 Minute Shake Ups
  • Suitcase worksheet to help pupils plan their own activities

  • Move confidently in a range of ways, safely negotiating space
  • Understand the importance of physical exercise for good health

Key stage 1

Pupils should have the opportunity to learn to:

  • Master basic movements, including running and jumping, as well as developing balance, agility and co-ordination, and begin to apply these in a range of activities
  • Participate in team games
